AN ANTIQUE ENGLISH REGENCY PERIOD BRONZE AND GILT BRASS LANTERN
circa 1815

A rare English Regency period bronze and gilt-brass lantern designed in the Gothic taste, each panel with gothic arched tracery flanked by crocketed spires and surmounted by finials, with cluster column supports, the base centred by a removable candleholder, and on lion-mask and paw feet divided by an inverted and quatrefoil gallery, the contemporary mirrored back with conforming arched gothic tracery surmount and finial.
