AN ANTIQUE ENGLISH REGENCY PERIOD NÉCESSAIRE
circa 1810

A most unusual English early Regency period nécessaire cabinet, the sides being of flame figured mahogany, the two bow-fronted drawers, satinwood with ebony inlay and the drawer rails and sides to the front in partridge wood, the scarlet velvet pin-cushion top having ivory finials, the drawers still retaining the original ebony handles, the cabinet being supported on the original brass claw and ball feet, the base moulding being gilded.

Height 12in (30cm). Width 9 3/4in (25cm). Depth 6 1/2in (16.5cm).
