AN ANTIQUE ENGLISH GEORGE IV PERIOD INKSTAND
circa 1825-30

A fine quality English George IV period inkstand being executed in figured and faded rosewood with inlaid brass decoration, the two end compartments containing inkwells, the centre and sides having circular open fretted galleries, the mahogany-lined frieze drawer with the inscription 'WILLIAM SCOTT, NORTON STREET, LIVERPOOL'. (THE TWO GLASS INKWELLS ARE REPLACEMENTS.)
